There are four bands called Disco Volante, the most renowned being a post-punk band from Portland Oregon.
Disco Volante is a band from Portland, OR, formed in 2014 by Portland State University students Joel Buckle, Thomas Guerena, and Jordan Dardis with Jayme Rogers joining soon after. Their sound pays homage to the post-punk genre of the 80's and its revival in the early aughts. However, Disco Volante breaks into a tangent of their own by blending 60's pop elements with expressive film score-inspired arrangements. The result is a cinematic sound that naturally gravitates toward the film noir.
Additinaly a short-lived 80's electropop group, led by Terry Tanx, which released their first single under the name Disco Volante in 1984 entitled "No Motion" c/w "Click" & "Punishment Tank" (Live Track). This was followed up in 2015 by the Space and Time EP which included the title track Space and Time and a cover to the Marc Bolan classic Get it On (Bang a Gong).
There exists another band titled Disco Volante, formed in 2000 that hails from Sweden. In 2002 the band released their debut single "Penis Envy" which included the tracks Pocket Cock and Big Dick Hans. The second single "Distort The South" where released in january 2004.
