Artist bio

1.) Youngsta is a dubstep DJ based in London, UK. He has a weekly radio show on Rinse.fm each Monday 11pm-1am GMT. He known for his exceptional mixing skills and musical style which is a continuation of the original, deeper, darker sound of dubstep.

2.) Youngsta a London rap artist from ‘the south of the compass’ is currently making shock waves in the UK music scene. An individual with strong beliefs, Youngsta consistently provides lyrics with which fans can relate to making him one of the most popular UK rappers. His large fan base and 1.5 million YouTube view’s to date (1st June 2010) provide testament for his raw skill and ability. In early 2000 at the age of 16, Yungmeth – also known as Youngsta started out his music career whilst listening to jungle, rap, garage and grime and took inspiration from artists such as Jay Z, and 2pac. For a period of his late teens Youngsta spent time in jail due to street politics and most of his sentence was spent writing. Any misfortune has provided Youngsta an experience to which he bases many songs, such as his track titled ‘Release Dates’ featuring Fix Dot’ M.

Youngsta came to the spotlight with the release of his debut mixtape titled ‘Crystal Meth’. CM instantly went on to become a street classic with tracks such as ‘Pump In Da Car’, ‘Red Notes’ and ‘Devils Playground’. From that moment Youngsta and his exceptional work rate has provided us with five other releases, namely ‘LOL’, ‘Fix Of Meth’ , ‘Anti Social’, ‘Best of Meth‘ and ‘Advanced Muzik‘ which all bare evidence of the talent and adaptability Youngsta possess as an artist.

‘Fix Of Meth’ Youngsta’s third mixtape hosted by Mykal Million saw Youngsta working with Fix Dot’M to produce tracks such as ‘Ouch!’ and ‘Braveheart’ and resulted in Youngsta’s prominence in the UK underground scene continue to rise. Working with different artists in the UK music industry has also helped Youngsta gain the capacity to reach fans of varied music genres; this is also assisted by a rare talent of having the ability to continuously alter his style of rap having released tracks with the likes of Dubz, Fix Dot’M, Giggs, Ghetts and JB.

Since Fix Of Meth we have witnessed the release of ‘Antisocial‘ which is Youngsta’s collaboration with producer Shellz. Then the release of a long awaiting Best of titled ‘Best of Meth‘ and his most current work to date ’Advanced Muzik‘ which is a collaboration with new kid on the block Cash. The mixtape also features the likes of Gfresh, Blade Brown, Play Dirty and R&B sensation Abel Miller.

Now in his mid twenties Youngsta has matured and is focused on endowing music to a wider audience. As a one man team Youngsta's achievements continue to impress and this is something that should be remembered.
